This class will suit those with experience, and those who have attended Act Up! Beginners and Intermediate that wish to tread the boards for the first time. While we like to challenge ourselves the emphasis is always on fun and creating a supportive environment.
Actors will develop their characters through improvisation and apply the principles of Meisner Technique and Practical Aesthetics. They will prepare for performing onstage, honing their stagecraft and developing their voices.
Four out of five of our last shows were written by Act Up!, giving the classes original and entertaining material to work with. The Ice Queen was set site-specifically in a restaurant and our most recent show Can’t Touch This! was totally improvised. All shows sold out.
